NOTE: This statement applies to characters, props and textures created by Dan
Cortopassi/dacort, including free items. For information
about items available or seen on this site but created by other artists, including
DSI products, please contact the artist or vendor directly.
NOTE 2: The "Free Starter Texture for Dina V" is an exception to some of the
conditions stated on this page, and is covered by its own license agreement (see
documentation included with the download).

| |
| In general, there are no commercial restrictions on images
and/or animations created using dacort products, whether
free or purchased. |
| |
|
What you may NOT do:
-
Texture maps (including bump maps, highlight maps, etc.) may not be redistributed
directly without permission, in whole or in part. They are to be used for the
intended purpose, to apply color and surface detail to the props and/or characters
for which the texture maps were made.
-
dacort geometry (usually in .obj files) may not be
redistributed without permission.
|
| |
|
What you may do:
-
.cr2 format files for dacort characters may be modified and redistributed provided they contain no geometry information.
Morph targets for dacort characters or props may be redistributed in either .cr2 format (preferred) or as minimal geometry (such as is produced by utilities such as Morph Squeeze).

| It would be a nice thing, where possible, to give a credit
to Dan Cortopassi and a reference to this website (www.dacort.com) when using
free items in a commercial work. |

| An excellent character-driven sci-fi story. I did the book cover illustration, "At the Window". |
