Welcome to my tutorial for the Poser 4 group tool. In this tutorial I will try to explain the basics of using this powerful but often neglected feature of Poser 4.x. Throughout the tutorial I will be using the standard ball prop that comes with Poser. I have designed this as a hands-on tutorial, so I would encourage you if at all possible to follow along in Poser and do the exercise with me. There is no substitute for hands-on experience. This tutorial assumes that you already know the basics of Poser, such as where to find props and how to put them into the document.
This tutorial is written to flow from beginning to end. Please do not be discouraged by the number of pages. Most of the time each page only has two or three actions to perform, and some pages have none. The number of pages is mostly the result of the number of images I had, each one included to illustrate a particular point.
For those who like to skip around, or for those who want to come back later and just review a particular section, I have included a Table of Contents (below).
