Removing a Group from Another Group |

You should now see that group_2 has changed. All of the polygons that were selected in group_1 are now unselected. Together, group_1 and group_2 now contain all of the polygons in the ball, but there is no overlap and no polygons have been left out.

Why would I want to do this? |
| A. |
There are times when you want to be absolutely sure that you have groups that do not overlap. If you are creating a figure, for example, you will need to break up the mesh into body parts that mate together perfectly like pieces of a puzzle, with no gaps and no overlap. If you have spent hours selecting one side of a seam on a complex object, you probably would rather not spend even more time trying to select the other side. The "Remove Group" feature makes this much easier, and also less likely that a mistake on your part will lead to polygons overlapping or being left out. |
