Icon Inverting the Selection

  1. Make sure group_2 is the current group.
  2. Click "Invert Group" and watch what happens. All of the previously black polygons turn red, and vice versa. When you are done admiring your work, click "Invert Group" again to put things back to the way they were.

Q. Okay, nice, but why would I want to do this?
A. Say you have a figure that looks like a person and you want to select everything but the belly button. You could do exactly that, but it would probably be much easier to select the belly button first (i.e. everything you do not want), and then invert the selection. Now you have the selection you need and it took far less work to accomplish.

Group_2 after "Invert Group" is pressed.

An excellent character-driven sci-fi story. I did the book cover illustration, "At the Window".
