Step Five: Making the Final Image |
| |
|
Finishing Touches:
- Once I'm satisfied with the hair, I flatten the image into a single layer, then shrink it to the desired size. I save it with a different name. I always keep the original large multi-layer document just in case I want to go back and tweak it again.
- All that's left is to add my signature.
- Most of the time I make two versions of the final image in different sizes. I usually shrink both of these directly from the orignal large image, rather than have to shrink it once to get to 1024x768, then again to get to 640x480.

| Thank you for taking the time to go through
my hair tutorial. I hope you found it beneficial. This was my first attempt at
making a tutorial, so if you have any comments or suggestions please e-mail me
at dac@dacort.com. Also, thanks to Jessie
Ferguson for inspiring me to get off my butt and write this. |

| An excellent character-driven sci-fi story. I did the book cover illustration, "At the Window". |
