Belmont, California, is a small suburb south of San Francisco, and is the town where I grew up. In 1976, my dad got a new Nikon camera and went around town taking slides. In 2006, I scanned and digitally cleaned up the slides, then took my digital camera and set out to re-take the same shots.

Some things have changed quite a bit, some not so much. This sign welcoming people to Belmont is on Ralston Avenue, just off the 101 freeway.
