My design work is not limited to two-dimensional graphics. I made a model of a switchback and painted some N scale equipment for use in a bonus chapter in TSG Multimedia's Shays in the Redwoods DVD.

Since I envisioned the fictitious TSG railroad to be a shortline, the paint job had to be something fairly simple that would suit a small railroad with a limited budget. I also wanted to incorporate some of the color cues from the TSG Multimedia website.

I used off-the-shelf decals and paint colors so that I wouldn't have to worry about getting the paint mix right if I did additional models. Hopefully I will get to use some of these models again in future productions.
