I have written narrative scripts for all of TSG Multimedia's rail videos. Because we have little control over the action on the railroad, most of the time the scripts are written after the shooting is done, unlike other types of video productions where a script would typically be written first.
The scripts include both historical and current information about the subject railroad, as well as brief explanations of the actions on the screen as they occur. Our videos are primarily intended for a railfan audience, people fairly knowledgeable about trains, but I like to include enough explanation so that someone not familiar with railroads could still understand anything that is not obvious.

Even though I have been interested in trains my entire life, I always go to my reference shelf, talk to experts, or search online resources to verify my facts when writing a script. There will always be people out there who know more about trains than I do, and if I get something wrong, they will know.

| An excellent character-driven sci-fi story. I did the book cover illustration, "At the Window". |
